Qwertick: An Unnecessarily Fun App

by Chris Arkwright | Sunday, July 19, 2009

If you enjoy the sound of an old school typewriter, then you will love Qwertick. It is a simple application (33kb exe) that adds that great click-click sound that has been missing from the office since the early 90's. I always use it when I am typing blog entries.

A description of the app from the developer's site:

"Qwertick is a tool to add a sound feedback to your keyboard. Unlike some other more sophisticated tools of such kind, it does not try to overwhelm you with loads of funny but impractical sound themes. Instead, Qwertick focuses on only one - the sound of an old typewriter, a time-proven assistance that benefits creativity for generations. With small and simple Qwertick you do not need megabytes of bells and whistles to be inspired while writing."

Nothing like the sound of a typewriter to get the creative juices flowing...
